Britax Marathon G4 vs Marathon ClickTight

Here we compare Britax Marathon G4 and ClickTight to help you figure out what are the new features and what have remained same in 2015 models of Britax convertible seats.

The main change with the new Marathon model is the small increase in height limits and the new installation system that is called ClickTight, you can also see it as CT in short.

Firstly we must mention about the new installation system named ClickTight by Britax which allows you to install your car seat in three steps in both forward facing and rear facing positions without trouble. This new installation system gives you a tight, secure and easy installation with the use of vehicle seat belt.

Britax says that it is even easier that a LATCH install and also says that it is impossible to install your car seat incorrectly. While we don't think it is possible to eliminate human mistakes, it really seems to be easy to get your car seat ready to use in a few minutes. Marathon ClickTight now comes with a handy feature for finding the best installation angle for your vehicle which was absent in previous G4 model.

Now lets talk about the minor height limit changes, we say minor because unlike the Advocate ClickTight the height limit change of Marathon ClickTight is minimal.minimal. Britax only increased it by an inch, so the overall height limit is 50 inches instead of 49 inches limit of Marathon G4. Weight limits and external width are not affected by this model revision. So if you can install and fit a Marathon G4 in your car, ClickTight will also fit.

The last change is the Marathon CT comes with an automatic level indicator for finding the best installation angle for your vehicle easily.

By the way if you are confused about the new ClickTight installation system, the LATCH installation is also available so you can also install it using the lower anchors but Britax advice using the new ClickTight system on their new seats strongly.
